Lunar Lipsticks launched two different lipstick lines that were inspired by mythical creatures affected by the moon. One that would appeal to younger millenials whom were obsessed with Instagram trends called, “Mermaid’s Kiss“ as mermaids are under the waves, which are controlled by the moon. The other called “Vampire’s Kiss“ as vampires are out when the moon is up and would appeal to millennials who were opposed to trends, and are nostalgic about the early 2000s.
Lunar Lipsticks wanted two different packaging solutions that not only showed the variance towards the two different audiences, but also to still have similar aesthetics to show that they were part of the same brand. Thus, both have a repeating pattern and have the same layouts for their packaging.
