The Urban Canopy Project is an environment-centric non-profit organization created by actor and activist Sean Astin. Their main purpose is to plant gardens of trees using the ample space of roofs on top of buildings in order to offset the greenhouse gasses emitted by big cities and sub-urban city life. The trees will help in reducing carbon emissions in our environment and slow the process of global warming.
